Miners all out alive

  1. Who is shocked? I am utterly amazed that they were able to survive those conditions. Can't imagine the relief those familllies must have felt. They are now in a hospital in Johnstown, PA.

I just watched a story on Fox News about them and tears were running down my face listening to the mens' and families' stories!

We needed this good news and happy ending...and I smell a great book and movie coming out of this harrowing experience

I'm SO thrilled for the men and their families!

Ditto, mattsmom! I watched the entire thing unfold on the news as the men came out one by one. I was so filled with elation that I actually did cry tears of joy for them and their loved ones. And as always......I immediately gave God the glory for their survival! :kiss

Hadn't even thought about the book/movie possibilities, mattsmom - you're right - Hollywood will be all over this one.

It is wonderful to see a happy ending when so many recent stories have ended so tragically. I consider PA "home" despite where I currently live, and it was great not to add to the tragedy people of that area have recently dealt with.

All credit to the rescue teams, who never gave up, even when all hope seemed lost, and to the miners themselves, to the "strongest" last man out!

God certainly had his guiding hand in there helping the rescue crew, and giving strength to each of those miners to hang on. I, too, watched the news as they were each brought up, and it gave me goose bumps. Thank God for the men and each of their families. So refreshing to hear a story with a "happy" ending for a change.

It is indeed amazing that those crews were able to get to these men! They are true heros. If it weren't for todays technology, it would have been impossible to get to them so far underground. Very fortunate men. I am so happy for the miners and their grateful families!
