    Sunrise...Sunset...Sunrise...Sunset
Quickly rolls the days as they fade.
Winter turns into Spring...Spring turns into Summer...
Longing for the cool breezy days of an Autumn's shade.

Happy First Day of Summer everyone!

tomorrow we'll be celebrating summermidnight with about 50 friends.
We go to a little place in lower-Austria, it is an old farmhouse, with just matrasses to sleep on.
We'll make a big bonfire, roast some meat and potatoes, sing songs in front of the fire and have a great time!
We've been doing this now for 7 years, it is the last time we see each other before the big vacation time starts and we say our goodbyes there too.
Plus my husband and I got marrried there too, 3 years ago. Now that was great! We had a young priest at that time, very liberal and open and he didn't have a problem with my "youthmistake" of first marriage. So after 14 years of being legally married, we could finally get the blessings of our lord ( well, officialy of course, we know we had that blessing before that too) The thing is, nobody, but we four (hubby, daughter, priest and me) knew about this beforehand, so no presents and so, exactly the way we wanted it........ as a surprise.
Now that is the kind of party you wish for at your wedding! Everybody in jeans or shorts, Tshirts, children gathered some flowers in the woods and on the meadow we made our weddingpledge. it was great!
The day after was horrible.............. sleeping in a huge hall, with 100 other people, most of them pretty drunk, was quite a different honeymoon! But everybody is still talking about it!

Take care all of you, Renee:kiss

Thanks, BOB, for reminding me of it! As a nightshifter, I'm aware of the sun coming up earlier each day here (my unit windows face East, and looks out on a park), and here it is 9:30PM and I can still see my all of the different colors of the various flowers and plants in my yard because of living up North in Minnesota, but I'm going up to my hometown tomorrow (up by the Canadian Border) and we will be watching the sun set around 10PM!

AND, I WILL BE ON VACATION!!!!!!!!!

    YAHOOO!!!!!!!

Lucky you Jenny P! I haven't had a true vacation in almost 2 years now! If I do quit my current job, I may take a few weeks off before jumping into things at the new one! Enjoy your vacation! Happy summer everyone!
