Mario puts theory to practice

  1. For all my posts, for all my opinions, for all my assertions, Mario now steps through the door.

Today I interviewed for a CNA position in the telemetry unit at a large hospital here in Portland and the interview went very well. The person who interviewed me said I was accepted, full time, with full bennies, and a promise to adjust my hours and be flexible with me once RN school starts in the fall !!!!

I just want to say that I felt EACH AND EVERY ONE of your PRESENCES, in some "cyber" kind of way, as I was shown around the unit, and introduced to the staff. This is my first actual job in my vocation, and my full time task, over the last 2 years, has been to become an RN (I am accepted into a program) and now I have a position in telemetry as a CNA !!!

After I start next week sometime, and go through all the orientations, we'll see if my tunes change. I just wanted you all to know, because I am extremely excited and happy, as actually landing a job took a good 5 weeks of searching, and waiting, after passing my CNA examinations.

The first thing I did was buy one white and one light blue scrub outfit, so now I have 3 outfits (dark blue as well). :kiss

Congratulations on landing your CNA job, Mario! Best of everything to you! You'll see a lot, and definitely learn a lot, as you work closely with the other nursing staff on the unit! Telemetry was always a fun unit for me to work on! Before you know it, you'll master Basic EKG, and the nurses may even be asking you to tell them what the various rhythms are.
