Lovely songs

  1. I am, and always have been, all about music.

An online friend has introduced me to the music of Ben Folds and Ben Folds Five. I especially love the songs Lullabye (which is cute and playful) and "The Luckiest" which is just the loveliest love song. If you don't know them, I encourage you to check them out, they can also be downloaded from Kazaa not that I endorse that kind of thing :uhoh21:

"You were always on my mind", both by Willie Nelson (I grew up hearing that album through my childhood) and the Pet Shop Boys" are also playing repeat performances in my head.

If you want to talk about a real oldie, "More" by Andy Williams, from the Mondo Cane soundtrack is something else.

    What's in your head today?

I've got Ben Folds solo album he put out a year or two ago and it is very good.

Funny, I was listening to the new CD by Pet Shop Boys called "Release", well it came out last year, so it's not new. They are still putting out good music. They are still charting hits in the UK, but not here. Just a handful of gay fans.

Anyway, today I've been singling "Intuition" by Jewel. "follow your heaaaarrrttt, your in-tuuuuuiiiiiition" over and over. sigh...good song though. I've got the remix single. I'm disappointed she felt the need to strip down and show her skinny unattractive body like some Brittany/Beyonce wanna be.

Speaking of just saw Beyonce's video. Very hot. But I'm so tired of the belly button showing, shake your booty thing. I thought that went out with the 90s.

Of course, I've also been singing "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" thanks to Ted and them below in the "Rain" thread.

I've been getting into John Prine lately.
I know it's old but I like him.

I have Marc Cohn-"Walking In Memphis" on the brain as of late. But a friend of mine just introduced me to Karla Bonoff....soulful, intense voice. Tom Waits' voice grows on ya......he introduced me to him as well. I love a good variety of music anything from country to rock to jazz.

"She Don't Know She's Beautiful", it's a country song, reminds me of our dog, she doesn't know she's beautiful either

After hearing the photocopier running for an hour, I am appreciating the relative silence of the humming of my computer.

I was driving through Memphis last month, thinking about Marc Cohn's song...I turned on the radio & voila! There he was, singing "Walkin' in Memphis!" Love that song!

I think the Ben Folds Five group is originally from Chapel Hill. I lived there for 6 years after I graduated college (from NCSU, not UNC, for anyone around here - LOL!).

Well, "War Machine" by KISS has been in my head at times lately because that's on the CD I made that I do cardio to when I got to the gym. Right now I'm listening to a bootleg of Ozzy from Cleveland on 5/11/81 (Randy Rhoads on guitar, of course).

If anyone is looking to listen to something relaxing on their computer while they're at work (or at home), try www.relaxradio.com . I listened to a couple of things on there yesterday, and it's a REALLY good site. I got there from www.radiofreeworld.com which is another great site. Hope someone can use those!
