Loss of Comraderie

  1. Hello All !

I'm new to my area, feeling kind of lonely and missing the comraderie of working in the hospital. I was hoping to find some nursing friends. I used to work nights and left because of the constant bickering. I'm now a private duty nurse and don't really interact with anyone in the field. And I guess I'm a sick person because I miss the gang - bickering and all. I'm in Virginia and there doesn't appear to be much to do in my area so drop me a line. I'm a gabber! :angel2:

Welcome, DeeB!!!! If it's bickering you want, try a few of the War/Terrorism discussions; but if you want to vent, ask questions, trade recipes, and read funny stories, you've come to the right place. We're glad you're here!

Hi Cindy - WOW! Someone from Winchester! We were here once before, but only briefly when I first got married and never had a chance to learn anything about the area. My husband used to talk about it I know the whole place is a big Civil War marker, but I remember it being a lot quiter. Snow? UGH! Did they import this just for me??? I'm used to only seeing snow on Xmas cards! And I have no experience driving in this stuff so I'm kind of nervous. My ex is from the area originally, which is how I ended up here gain - long story - and though we're great friends, he's with someone now and I don't think she would appreciate him taking me out to see the sights Between the boys, CEUs and work, I just don't get out much. I'd like to learn what's what so that when Spring comes, I can go explore. Ah! I have to get ready for work. Thanks for the note.

Yes I sent the snow just for you. My sister told me to keep it on my side of the mountain but I just had to share. What schools to the boys go to,county or city? I am a graduate of Handley and Shenandoah University, back when it was a college. That town has grown so much since I left. My sister works at the hospital. I can put you in touch with her if you like. PM me your hubby's name if you want. I may know him or family. Once the weather gets better there is lots to do around there and DC is so close.
