11 for 11! Did NZ proud! Such a wonderful ending to a great series that movie was.

As did the best actress making South Africa proud. Has a South African ever won the Oscar? I really want to see Monster now.

I want to see Monster too! I think it looks great from the trailers. I just have to add that Dave Matthews is from South Africa...it is quite a talented country

I am very anxious to see the trilogy. Just waiting for it to come out on DVD. We are planing a LOTR all day party with the home theatre with intermissions and meal breaks. I've only seen the first one and that was quite awhile ago.

I am sorry, I think the movie is way overrated.. I've tried watching it, just not my thing.... Maybe next year other deserving movies might have a chance..

I still think Johnny Depp should have got best male..

I loved the first two, but still haven't seen the last one - it's driving me nuts! Any idea when it comes out on video/DVD?

LOTR is just like any other movie - some will love it, some will hate it. But you can't deny that the work that went into those movies was top notch, and the source material was already a classic. There are a lot of people who aren't into sci-fi and fantasy, so you really can't please everyone.

I, for one, fanatically love these movies! I was so happy that it won ALL 11 awards it was nominated for. That is over 7 years of hard work being rewarded. Good for them!
