Looking for a special chair???

  1. The chair I am trying to find is a rather odd sort of chair. It is meant to save on the back. It is backless, has a seat, and built into it is a ledge where you rest your knees, thus relieving back pressure, great for all the time spent on the puter. I had one many years ago, bought at a garage sale and have never found one since. Ever seen such a chair? I loved it, I could work at my desk for hours and never had back spasms like I do now. If I knew what it was called, I could start a search but hard to do when you don't really know what you're looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Duckie

I'm not sure of the name, but I've seen them at Office Max. My daughter thinks it's a "cool" kind of chair and has been buggin me to get one. I told her my knees wouldn't
hold up too long with that chair. I bet Staples would have them too, or any one of those office supply stores where the computer furniture is. Price wise, I think they ran anywhere from $40-$70 depending on which model. Good luck, hope you find one.

The knees are very heavily padded and you can even raise them a bit to put the load, so to speak, on your legs. Thanks for the tip!!!!:kiss

I dunno if they have the one you mean, Duckie, but this site has some pretty funky stuff for your back:

The Balans Knee chair is probably the one you had, or a similar knock-off. Here is something I found showing an "improvement" which looks good. I'm going to look into this one.

We had one and used it for a while. Being a 3 computer family, we took turns using it. Finally put it in storage after my son fell over backwards on it. Be careful that you don't shift your weight too far back on it.

I've also seen them at Office Max.

As usual you are great and have hit a winner again. The one I had didn't have a back and I didn't like that but one of the one here had the knee rest and the back!! These chairs are the bomb when working at a desk for long hours, like when on the BB! Thanks everyone, gotta get one ordered ASAP! Hugs, Duckie

Duckie, those are the best. I may have to get myself one, too.
