I already have 4 cats but this one won me over at the shelter. She was too old and sleepy to get up and come over, but she looked at me and blinked her acknowledgement. Even now she'll go to get up and either it's just too much effort, or she's too cosy, and she'll change her mind and flop back down.
My problem is that I can't seem to sit down without her company. Right on my chest so I can't do needlework or read. I moved the TV up so I could see it, but I can't be a slug for the rest of her life. How can you politely convince a cat to snuggle up elsewhere when she's purring like and outboard motor. I just don't have the heart.
