logging in and out

  1. I''m really new to this site and was wondering is there an easy way to log out? I usually just click the X at the top of the screen but I see logout next to my screen name. Computers aren't my best subject so be patient. Thanks

    well, logging out depends...

if you are the sole user of the computer, then, you can just close the window, and stay 'cookied' into the site...so you dont have to sign in again....

but, if you hit log out, you will have to sign in again next time you want to view the site in all its infinite goodness...

    hope this helps...

What Yeti said. Be careful if you post from work. You don't want to stay signed in on a computer that isn't exclusively yours.

Speaking of logging in and out.....

Whats the easiest way to log in when your cookies have been cleared?

I went through several clicks, starting with Home, till I found the place to sign in. Now I can't remember how I did it.

It seems like there should be a place to sign in on the home page, or directions there to find the sign in page. Hmmm, maybe there is and I'm just really lost.

I agree, boggle. I wish there was a Log In to click on, on the Home (first) screen. As things are now, if I want to log in, I have to choose a thread, click on "post reply," log on as if I were replying to thread, then click to go back to Nursing Discussion Board for allnurses -- it's kind of a pain, but I just do it. As with other things in life, you do whatcha gotta do, that's all.

Yeah don't do what I did and try going through the registration section it won't let me log on because "there is someone already wiht that name" - finally worked out that posting a reply was the quickest and easiest.

I have the site bookmarked at the discussion board index page:

At home, I just leave myself logged in. At work I log out each time. The log in box is right there on the index page so its easy.
