Little Green Men...

  1. OK, this thread is kind of a spin off of the "Signs" thread. Someone mentioned on there that it was difficult for them to suspend their disbelief in the notion of an alien invasion to get through the movie. This got me to thinking, what are your beliefs on little green men, or, if you prefer, alien life on other planets?

See, I myself am an X-Files junkie, the alien theme was all that kept me sitting through "Signs," as I find the topic fascinating! I think it's kind of silly to assume we are all there is in this great big universe we live in.

So, do you believe in little green men?

    Absolutely!
It is not feasible to think that in this vast Universe that "we" are it!

I most certainly believe that the universe holds more life than what's found on the planet called Earth.

As Jodie Foster's character in 'Contact' said, "If we are the only ones here.....wouldn't that be an awful waste of space?" (dunno if quote is exact..but you get the point)

I believe. Just hope that they aren't hostile.
As for not making contact with us yet.....We're probly just the 'backwoods folks' of the universe 'cause we aren't as advanced. The cousins no one wants to spend an extended vacation with.

    Want some opossum pie, cousin??

Gene Roddenberry was a cool dude! Way ahead of his time, in my opinion. I hope that someday our wonderful yet troubled world will evolve to be a Star Trek world. It's a long ways of, though, I'm afraid. . . . .
