Letters to God end up in ocean, unread

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.-Some of the letters are comical (a man asking God to let him win the lottery, twice), others are heartbreaking (a distraught teen asking forgiveness for an abortion, an unwed mother pleading with God to make the baby's father marry her). The letters _ about 300 in all, sent to a New Jersey minister _ ended up dumped in the ocean, most of them unopened

Lacovara said he is sad that most of the writers never had their letters read. But he hopes to change that soon: He is putting the collection up for sale on eBay.
I hope eBay refuses to accept this sale. It's immoral. These people wrote to their pastor in good faith, and now this man is compounding the problem.

    So disgusting.

I, too, hope Ebay refuses this sale - seems like it's breaking postal laws by reading someone else's (God's) mail.

That said, I still think God read them all!

the One for whom they were intended, got them. That is all that matters.

A woman who spent two days opening mail to Tilton told the Tulsa World that she and other workers were instructed to remove the cash and checks and throw away the letters and prayer requests written to Tilton...

I hope this isn't a normal thing, but sadly I think it is!
