Kingdom Hospital

  1. Did anyone watch the new Stephen King show "Kingdom Hospital"? I missed it, darn it! It's beginning to be a 14 episode series on Wednesday nights at 10PM. If anyone watched the premier, let me know how you liked it. Thanks

Very disappointing Maybe he's losing his touch?

I didn't see it either and I am mad! Did S. King write Storm Of The Century?

    I loved that movie!

I watched it and rather enjoyed it. It is as freaky as some of his movies. If there is any way you can find it on the net to watch or possibly an encore performance I think if you didn't see the premeire the whole series is going to be hard to keep up with. I missed the first 5 minutes but was able to kinda figure it out with flashbacks by the end of the episode.

That's exactly what my Wife said. Especially the commercial part.

Had a review that ripped it to pieces, said it was a big pile of nothing. However, I was just a little intrigued. So I set the VCR for that time everyweek. I am willing to give it a chance. If he has fourteen episode to tell his story he may very well be starting out slow.

I love Sthephen King (yes he did Storm of the Century), and watch all of his stuff. He usually does a really good job. However, I wasn't too thrilled with the opening night of this mini-series. It was a little confusing, but after a while it starts coming together...somewhat. What really bothered me was the hospital setting...I kept telling my husband "what kind of hospital is this?!" It really seems bizarre! I'm sure they're going for a "spooky" look but the stuff at this hospital is just downright weird!
Well, I am definitely going to continue to watch, I'll give it a chance to get better. It wasn't that bad, just "weird"...hard to explain. The previews look like it's gonna be pretty good....

I watched and enjoyed it. The story was s sort of a tkae off of his MVA. The guy wqas in two places at once however the realtime hosp. and the other world during his coma. More later can't stay on long.

There are like two or three levels of being at "KINGDOM HSOPITAL" the hosp. is built on the site of an old Union army uniform mill, which burned to the ground trapping many children that were working there and kiling them. They continue to roam the halls of "KINGDOM HSOPITAL" there is also a art factor the person that was hit tby the car is and artist instead of a writer and the animal (a giant ardvark) from the painting is also involved and the painting has changed from it original form. The wife noticed this. There are also some (I will probably catch flak for this) retarded or mongoloid children in the basement of "KINGDOM HSOPITAL" who have a strange power on the hospital itself.

CCU NRS- I thought the Down's boys in the basement were posed as employees of the hospital. The little girl looks like she is one of the ghosts but I didn't think the boys were.
As far as the hospital setting, I was just wondering is it really a hospital?? It seemed to me that the Doctor that did the surgery, is not the NeuroSurgeon that the wife was introduced to. And who is he anyway, he looks familiar, but I can't place his face.

Andrew McCarthey is the goatee Nuero guy and Ed Bagley jr is the chief of Neuro.

The downs children are possibly working in the hosp, but I feel they are in a separate realm they seemed to have a control over the things that happen, like when the elevators quit they laughed and joked and then they flipped a switch thaty fixed it. Same with when the light went out they were joking and saying uhto lites are out and they laughed and then flipped a breaker or something.

The little girl is a ghost but she was also with the ardvark and then of course there is a vampire in the netherworld that is threatening the girl.

Also the old lady that is a seer she is hooking up with old guys on the alzheimers ward or something.

All in all I was intrigued, It will not be easy for nurses to let some of the things go as hosp procedure but just remember it only fiction
