KEWLNURSE...A question 4 u?

  1. Hi Kewl,

Just a quick question for you.

What kind of beer do you
    drink?

Are you a Bud man or Coors light, or Labatts?

    Just curious,

    Kelly

None of the above, as i would not consider any of them "beer"
I've had over 500 different beers, 99% of which youve probably never heard of. Some you may have heard of would be Sierra Nevada, Saranac, Guinness, Some that you never heard of, Duval, Orval, Roddenhbach... I could take up most of the space allowed for this bbs babbeling about beer. As a general rule anything from Belguim is fantastic, some really odd styles, such as lambic's and trappists ales, but fantastic. There are a lot of micro's that are great but almost as many that suck (3 of them are here in buffalo)

Ever have Point Beer? Its brewed in Stevens Point, WI and I understand that it has been mentioned in some national ratings as one of the best of its type, although I have no idea what that is.

When I was a student at UWSP the slogan for Point Beer was "when you're out of Point, you're out of beer" but the joke among the students was "when you're out of Point, you're out of town." A joke, but pretty much true! You don't usually see it outside of the local area. So when I get the chance, I usually drink a Point, just to bring back the memories of those wild and crazy college days.

Actually, I like Gray's. That's also brewed here in Wisconsin.

Well, for those of us w/the alcohol tolerance of a common house fly, Killian's red and Miller Lite are just dandy. Yeah, they probably taste like water to you more so-fis-ticated folk, but for lightweights like me, they're heavy duty alcohol. I just don't like beer that you have to CHEW.

    YEEEEEHAAAAA!!

LOL. Just what IS the alcohol tolerance of a housefly anyway? Probably more than mine these days! One glass of wine and I'm giggly, two puts me under the table!

Well, ya made me curious, Suzy. I had to go look up Grays. I see it is made in Janesville. And on the way there, I see that the New Glarus Brewery mades a Wisconsin Cherry Beer. That sounds downright odd.

As an Aussie I feel obliged to state that I find American beers to be what we call 'piss-weak'. I will agree with Kewl that beer brewed in continental Europe is quite good......Carlsberg, Kronenberg, Stella Artois......but there is no substitute for a good old Aussie brew. Carlton, VB, Coopers, Eumaundi and good ol' Redback. Ahhhh, the nectar of the Gods.......
