Just what do you think you are here for?

  1. I have this belief...
Not necessarily in a traditional sense but... I feel like we are all here to support and encourage one another and to overcome things in others that we percieve as obstacles or annoyances. We are here to learn to love one another!
    What do you think?

I think we all chose to come here to learn whatever lessons that are necessary. Somw of us have harder ones to learn, and when we have learned them, then we get to back to our Heavenly Father...And it`s not for us to know what the lessons are until we are back in His presence.

I know what I am here for... I also know my meaning of life (its different for everyone)

I'm here to learn everything possible, and keep coming back over and over till I know it all (I believe in reincarnation), and, in the process, I'm to teach it all, and to live it all...

I think I'm here to nag my husband (and wash clothes).

Must be here for SOMETHING as I walked away from a car crash that I should not have survived six months ago.

Oh, yes, I'm here to pay enough insurance premiums so that Allstate doesn't go broke because of drivers like me.:chuckle

    To fight!!!!! Grrrrrr!

Just kidding. I feel the same way. I really look at this site as an extended family. I've come to get to know people and their posting personalitites, and enjoy the support that is here. I would enjoy it a bit more if posters could let go and be themselves, good, bad or indifferent. Seems since we've been told to behave we act differently now.

Giuseppe, Frankie here. You sound like John and Yoko. All you need is love....imagine. And another good point is - It is a hell of alot easier to get along with others rather than trying some weird abnormal control/anger/hostility thing. I am not one who is much for a power trip using others. If I want a power trip, I will make my own and I will be the receipient of it. who knows what our purpose is here? I am not so sure we ever know. I think we just glimpse - like Emily in Our Town. We never really see. frankie

it is not why i have come to this site, but why i have chosen to stay here.

above all, it has been a great experience. this site is not too much different from work, there are all kind of people and we don't have to "like" each other in order to "respect" each other. i like knowing that there is not another like me and there isn't another like you. i have grown to like some more than others but it is the individual attitudes, (bad or good as i see) that makes the person "stand out" to me.

in most of you, there is a little piece of another person and we grow through differences and we overcome grief, sorrow, and pain and we celebrate our joys and victories, among our family right here at allnurses, thanks to brian.

if most of us didn't feel like this was a special place, surely we would leave like so many have. the statistics speak for itself.

i appreciate each of you and so cherish the qualities god has given me. it may help you or it may not but i am content with stephany and pray each of you are content with yourselves.

This sums it up in an over-simplified way for this board: (what I believe, anyhow). We are all everlasting souls who chose to come to Earth and live mortal lives to learn life lessons. We pre-ordain these before birth and all is clear upon death. All questions are answered and suffering over. It to me, explains the eternal question people ask: Where is G-d when such and such happens? (usually having to do w/human tragedy and suffering). It comforts and calms me. Anyhooo that is what I believe. We all have a purpose and meaning, though at times obscure to us; it's up to us to live up to the potential we have, or not elect not to, thus missing out on life lessons to be learned. Short version.
