A fellow "Allnurses.com" member was over for dinner this past evening. She's doing "Camp Nursing for Rich Kids" for a month near where Amy and I live.
I don't remember exactly how this whole process got started, but she realized that I lived close to the summer camp, posted a note to me and I responded with an invitation for a home cooked meal.
I must say that this was a first for me! Never have I invited a person that I met over the internet to come over for a visit and a dinner! One hears about all those horror stories of "psycho killers" stalking their prey via on-line bulleting boards/chat rooms. Thankfully, my wife and I are still alive. . . .
. . . .neither did we kill our guests. . . . :chuckle :roll :chuckle
We had a delightful time (my wife and I did, hopefully she did as well!). Amy made a fantastic dinner!
(I can still taste it! Burp. . . .excuse me . . .
I hope that we stay in touch and meet again sometime.
Anyone else here meet an "Allnurses.com" member for an honest-to-goodness "3-D, in the flesh" meeting (verses a "cyber-meeting")???
Interesting how the internet bought together people who might not have otherwise met one another. Way cool, in my books!
Happy "allnurses.com" folks!
