Just a word of thanks

  1. Hi everyone. I have been super-duper stressed at work recently, and haven't been able to log on or read all the posts, just been following a few here and there.

    Tonight, I finally was able to take a breath, and I noticed when I was logged on, reading posts I have missed, in a few forums, I noticed it was the first time I felt relaxed in the last two weeks.

    Anyway, thanks for the few moments peace I did have this week.

    Take care of yourself, Hoolahan. All that stress can kill ya, you know? Life isn't meant to be that tough; we do it (cause the stress) to ourselves by not living in the moment but rather in the past or future. I use Al Anon's mantra: One Day at a Time. Try it; you'll like it.

    I don't know where you live, but if you can get outside for a few minutes in the fresh air, it helps. If it is breezy (not frigid!), all the better. It seems to blow your cares away. Looking up at clouds floating by and simple things like the shape of a tree or an icicle or something...just try to let yourself get lost in nature for a few minutes.
    Another thing I have found to be great this time of year is watching flames in a fireplace. It is like watching waves come in at the beach. Before you know it, you are so entranced that you forget what is going on around you.
    Hopefully, better days are ahead.
