Too bad it won't be televised. I'd spring for the beer and popcorn.

Sorry guys, I know he deserves to die....but I simply don't agree with the death penalty.

Well in my belief system, the ultimate judgement is not up to us. I guess he will find out very soon, just what that will be-----very soon indeed.

I feel no joy in this, nor do I denounce the decision.

I feel he is but a drop in the bucket of viscious dicatators out there. I don't understand why just "he".. and what about all the others who have done equally as much harm or more to innocents. Warloards everywhere, North Korea dictator, so many others yet out there.

I also think of all the innocent Iraqis killed since our invasion.. not at his hands, but at ours. Not the sectarian violence, I'm not referring to that.. but the innocent civilians killed by our direct interventions over there. Thousands...and more.

Those innocents didn't deserve their pain , suffering, and death either.

The whole thing just bothers me deeply.

Yes, he was evil. Yes, he should be held accountable.

But I have many remaining questions.

horrible human being...he felt that he had the right to kill those who opposed him..he taught his sons that that was also their right

I'm not the least bit sorry to hear of Saddam's impending execution. But as somebody already said, the true judgment of his actions will not be in this life, but the next.

Hope he enjoys lots of heat~
