It's the weekend! It's Saturday Oct 27th - page 3

Yippee. I haven't worked much this past week, being sick, but I'm still glad it's the weekend. There's just been too much drama for this Mama. My son and his girlfriend have been a huge headache.... Read More

    Good afternoon!

Jnette, add my hugs and condolences to the others'.
    Bless you and your family.

Dutch and Sabby, hope you feel better/more like 'you' soon.

    Did music.
    Did more music.
Ate lunch w/dh and the kids.
Oldest drove off to meet w/friends (sniff).
He looks so grown-up, driving away. He's only had the car A WEEK!!! Kids.

    Changing clothes.
More music to follow: an Agape Feast, and we're "with the band." <grin>
Agape Feast being held at a home in Riverside.
Last time one was held there (so we're told), about 60 ppl attended.
As they got ready to start singing (hymns, mainly, with guitar and bass and mandolin etc accompanying), a nearby transformer blew up.
Our friends said they could see the rescue vehicles "down the road," all gathered around the transformer and a flaming palm tree (from the explosion).
    There were no injuries.
However, there was then NO electricity at the house.
Hostess rounded up all the candles she could find, and they ended up singing in candlelight, with only one acoustic guitar and a harmonica playing.
They say it was a magical experience!
God works in many ways . . .

We have clouds today but no rain forecast, and the air continues to smell strongly of smoke.

The San Diego fires are gradually getting contained (browse thru the InciWeb site to see details).

Bless the firefighters and those who have lost homes or been evacuated!

    I better go change.
Yes, you'll recognize me afterwards, lol!

    Zuzi:
I didn't mean to make you sad. Yes it is a sad song written during the songwriters divorce.
Some music does me that way too. Genius can express emotion so well. Don't listen again.

I love the voices and arrangment.
My grandfather was a janitor with a fine tenor voice.
He was the only soloist in the church choir.

    Thank you Siri!
    Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!

Hurray, the ethics paper is done! And my previous landlord finally gave me my security deposit back! And my dad's getting a new LCD TV so he's giving me his old one (which is much better than mine)!

Just have a quiz to study for, and some reading in preparation for Tuesday's clinical (the length of the care plan involved makes me glad I got the paper out of the way).

Now, time to relax...I'm going to try to read some of Jan Karon's Mitford Chronicles, which my dad likes, before (or while) I catch Svengoolie, who's presenting "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein"

    And then to bed. Goodnight!

Sounds like an awesome day all round!

Well, mine was pretty good too - was tough because for the life of me I could NOT find my glasses before work - but all's well that ends well!!

Cold, windy, overcast weather here today. We received good rain last night. MUCH needed. The east coast had a tornado yesterday! We rarely get tornadoes in Oz.
