A few quotes from the article:

A snowplow delivered a newborn baby and its mother to hospital after first rescuing a stranded paramedic trying to reach a pregnant woman who had gone into labour at home in Central Nova Scotia.

A few hardy adventurers defied the stay-at-home emergency order. One group of cross-country skiers glided down the streets of one residential neighbourhood and snow-shoe tracks were spotted on what is normally one of the busiest streets in Halifax.

Now THAT'S Canadian! Never mind those silly beer commercials....

Jay Jay if I could ship you some of this heat I would!!! WOW!!!! I can only imagine what it is like - I have only seen snow once in my life when I took a holiday in Austria. Once every 10 years it gets cold enough at Stanthorpe (About 300 K away) for a few flakes to fall and everyone in the surrounding district races down there in the hopes they can see even one snowflake before it melts.

Wow. I can't imagine 106. We are getting pretty tired of all this cold in the midwest (USA). Had the repair guy out to fix the furnace again yesterday. Time for a heat wave here (or a new furnace?).

I loved your "it's so cold out" list . Have to send that to a few chilly friends!

I can imagine - the day it snows in Thailand everyone would be walking around saying "what is this white stuff??? Is it a dandruff epidemic?" But Thailand is sooooo beautiful it does not need snow.

I would be enjoying it if it were not 41.7 degrees today!!!! - I can't remember what that is in farenheit but it was beyond stinky and into skanky!! Tonight - big summer thunderstorm - lots of lightning and about 3 drops of rain - come on!!! Give us a break!

    It's below freezing here still. . .

Really enjoyed reading the list, though! Especially # 10! Very funny! :chuckle

We just got ANOTHER 4" of snow yesterday. Robin couldn't make it up the driveway and had to leave her car and walk it home. Of course Totanka had no problems. I crave the coming of Spring. At least something above 50F.
