Is this nutz or what???

  1. My daughter who is 13 just told me that her girlfriend who is also 13, her mom gives her a pregnancy test every two months. The girl doesn't even have her period yet and she's not allowed to have a boyfriend. She never leaves her mother's sight and if she comes to our house the mother calls every hour with, "What's she doing? Can I talk to her? My God, talk about not trusting your teenager...I wonder if the mother has issues going on with herself like maybe she had sex at 12 or 13??? or maybe she's just way too paranoid. That's just nutz to me. What's your opinion?

A couple of my kids' friends were in unhappy situations--I just tried to be neutral but comforting and just listen, or just cook or something.
They actually came back years later and thanked me for it.
    Whatta compliment!

i think it is an extreme of being cautious and not enough trusting. mother and daughter need to seriously have a listening and talking period together.

    Poor kid!
I fear bad things will happen there, your typical run-a-way- story begins like this very often!!!

Is the kid a nervous wreck or rebellious? Sounds like a very sad situation. Sounds like that kid is lucky to have you around! Do you feel comfortable asking the mom if everything is ok? Or the kid possibly? Sounds like Mom needs help now and the kid will need some later!

Well thanks for the feedback ladies, I thought maybe it was just me. You see I'm not allowed to let this girl know that I know about it...sworn to secrecy with my daughter, but I told my girl that if she runs into a problem to tell her that I'm here for her if she needs to talk to someone.
