Is this haircut too "high fashion" for nursing?

  1. I was thinking about getting my hair cut like VB's hair. When I first saw it I didn't care for it, but now I have changed my mind. I don't know. I have long hair that is about 2-3 inches below my shoulders. It would be a very drastic change. So here are my questions:

    1. Do you even like this haircut?

    2. Is it appropriate for nursing?

Here are some pictures of the haircut:

I love the haircut and no, it's not too "high fashion" but it may get in your way in certain messy situations. Esp if you are doing things like sterile dressing changes or similar cleanup.

I looked at the links . . . not sure who the woman in the first photo is and the other two links are hilarious "hit pieces" on folks like the "finger flipping" Avril . . . . . love the photo of Paris and the little doggy. And Tara and Courtney and their tummies/boobs.

As to the haircut - is it is the first link? If so, it would be hard to work with those long layers in front.

The first picture is Victoria Beckham, and the other two links.... Well, you should be seeing another of Victoria Beckham and one of Jenna Jameson.

The hair is short in the back and gets longer as it goes to the front. I was thinking about the front. Like you said it will probably get in the way. I would probably have to put it in a barette. hmmm...

It's sharp. I would brin a headband to hold back hair for proceedures as mentioned by another poster

    Oh - VB . . . .

No, she doesn't show up for me in the other links but that website is funny.

I like the idea of the headband - if you look good in a headband. I started wearing one about 10 years ago - until someone said I looked like Hillary Clinton . . . .I guess this was the time she tried to look like the nice little woman baking cookies at home .. the "pretty in pink" time.

    I tossed the headband . . . .

I like the 'do in itself and have long since wished for straight hair that I could do that with. (Mine is curly & long a la Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.) But I would definitely have it out of my face for work, with a headband of something.

haha! Yeah I love to read those celebrity gossip sites. It gets addicting. If compared to Hilary I would toss the band too lol! I love Victoria Beckham! I am so glad she is moving to the states. She has a reality show coming out too.

I have the straight hair. I'm not sure I have the face shape for the cut though. I'm not sure. I think I have more of a round/heart shaped face. I don't know if that haircut would make my head look big. I guess that is something I would need to talk to the stylist about.

Ah - what's the saying? "Everything old is new again." That 'do' is a variation of one that worn waaaay back when I was in high school - in the late 60's - just modnerized a bit.

Yep, I've seen it before too - although I was wearing a "pixie" in the 60's.

My hair is wavey . .. I use a flat iron on it most of the time. Sometimes I use mousse to keep make it curlier.

It is also getting gray - I have it colored!!!

Everything 60's is very high fashion right now. With Sienna Miller and factory girl, wedge heels/platform style, baby doll dresses etc...

I got the cut in the first pic about 1 month ago. I love it! My hair is thick enough that I can tuck the longer front sections behind my ears and they stay put. I do keep a clip in my pocket for the down and dirty jobs, just in case!

or tuck it behind your ears.
but when it is short like that in the back... thats the way you will look everyday.. very cute, but unable to pull it back into a pony.. etc.
    but, I love the style!
