insulin info

  1. i am looking for a chart maybe online that i can print out for education, i would like it to have the diffeant insulins, their onset of action peak and duration of action, any ideas where i can get one, have tried our pharmacy and drug rep and no luck so far. thanks

    Go to www.nursebob.com which is an educational ICU type site. On the list of topics, pick Insulin Preparations and a chart comes up exactly like what you're describing. I carry it with me in my drug book. (Sorry I can't give you direct link- I'm not that computer literate!)

    Bob's chart is missing some insulin preparations: Hope you printed the one off that has lantus (glargine), 75/25 humalog mix, and there is also a 70/30 novolog mixture insulin.
