Insight on strange dreams?

  1. Anybody have any insight on weird dreams? Over the past week I've had three strange dreams, which is unusual for me. Most of the time I don't remember any of them. The first one was 3 nights ago. I was at my ex's wedding and was trying to talk him out of it. It was at a pool and the girl he was marrying looked like me, only fat. Our conversation was almost the same one we had over a year ago when I found out that he broke up with me and ended up already having another girlfriend. I told him how stupid he was being and yadda yadda yadda. You get the idea.
Anyway, next was the next night. There were a bunch of us in this school and there was a bomb outside. I went outside to try and diffuse the bomb and couldn't, so I started to run away. It exploded and I felt the heat and saw a big white flash. We all died (everybody in the school. Morbid, I know. that 's why its weird) and I was running around hysterically trying to find my sister and my boyfriend. We were in Heaven, but it was still the school. Like we were ghosts almost. We could see everybody but they couldn't see us. My ex was in this one, too.
Ok, last one. This one was just about an hour ago during my nap. (Hey now, don't laugh. Got up really early this morning.) My mom said she thought I was pregnant so she did an ultrasound on me and, low and behold, I was pregnant. I was upset, saying that now I can't do my nursing program and how did I get pregnant--I haven't had sex in 9 months! She was comforting me and saying it was ok. She wasn't even mad. Weird.

Ok, I know this is very random and probably makes no sense, but dreams normally don't, right? So, if anybody knows anything about dreams or just wants to put your 2 cents in, feel free.
Just don't tell me I'm a psycho, ok? I'm already stressed out enough.

Sounds like you're feeling that your life is out of control, and you are feeling powerless against whatever is in your "real" life that is causing you anxiety. I'm reading a lot of disasters happening all around you, but as hard as you try, you can't prevent them from happening or help anything.

Usually a dream about pregnancy means there will soon be a new "birth" of yourself. Beginning school may be what that represents. At the end, your mother (your nurturing archetype) was accepting and caring for you.

I'd say that deep down inside, despite your struggles, you know that things will all work out for you.

    BTW: I take naps, too.!

    dahlink.....

Your dreams signal change... it could be a life change, or a mental change... (I'm guessing life change)
also-- perhaps a feeling of powerlessness.... which is ok... because with Change (reference the above) sometimes we cannot control what is going on, so we have to ride on it kinda like surfing a wave... do what ya gotta do, and go with the flow...
ok.... now, onto the dream about pregnancy..
have you been trying to do something big and new? Is it worrying you?
(pregnancy here is a metafor for having to do something in the future that is inevetable...)

personally, I dont think you're nuts...
    Perhaps stressed out....
hmm.... as a remedy.... well.... destressing by removing the stressors is a good, but often not entirely doable thing...
If I were you, I'd make a dream pillow...
make a pillow out of fabric, fill with equal parts of lavender flowers, lemon grass, CHAMOMILE (its used to keep nightmares at bay), pine needles, marjoram, a amethyst stone, a clear quartz and a little bit of anise seeds.... (not too much... and, crush them a bit too).... Sew it tightly closed.... and sleep with your head on it...
also... you can look into using a dream catcher.... it takes bad dreams and catches them, and lets the good ones drip out the bottom...
    hehe...
if you want other funky 'remedies'
    lemmie know...
