Ingeniously sleazy idea, but...

  1. ...you have to admit, it is working for her!! People never cease to amaze me! What do you think?

It is ridiculous. Karyn needs to save herself. Another example of not taking responsiblity for you own actions. If she gets the money she wants here, she'll just do it again. I say Karyn pay off your own damn debt, I do!

Wonder if it would work for me too? LOL

    My sentiments exactly.

I didn't get any joy out of anything that she bought... and let's face it, she isn't paying off a huge medical bill for cancer treatment, she's paying off a freaking credit card bill.

Do it yourself. You are so right, kaycee, another brilliant example of someone not being accountable for their actions.

    This is a joke....right???

Hey, I got an idea for her...do away with your internet service and whatever it costs to keep that website running. There's a good $20-50 bucks a month!!

    Low budget website?? OH PLEASE!!!!

That is so utterly ridiculous! It disgusts me! How dare she! Grow up! and what is even crazier... it that some people have actually sent her money! How is that possible?

That website just got he all agitated! OH welll back to work I go.... because I owe, I owe!

I thought it was pretty bold and dispicable at first, until I pondered it a bit. I assume that the people supporting her, which is the vast minority, may agree with this.

She is showing some responsibility in that she is trying to manage the debt in some way other than bankruptcy. By getting people to donate a buck at a time, it may be better for the economy overall, as it won't have the negative effect that relinquishing the debt would.

I know that may be some pretty wonky thinking, but it is the closest thing to an explanation as to why people would send her money that I can think of! And besides, she gets really interesting e-mail!!

I just checked out the site, I think it's hilarious! I have to give the girl credit, she's not trying to come off as a poor charity case, or posting half nekkid pictures of herself to lead guys on and get more money. And her posts are pretty witty and funny, too.

I wouldn't send her anything, just on principal, because I've been poor, had debt, and didn't have a thing worth trying to sell. I had to do it the hard way. But it sure looks like she is finding plenty of people to help chip away her debt.

Just when you thought you'd seen everything!:chuckle

i'm tired of people not wanting to be held accountable for their actions. this lady needs to take a page out of the single mothers book...you know then one who works 2 jobs trying to support her kid and not be on welfare while trying to go back to school so she can get a decent paying job. (no offense to those that are on welfare, i know everyone has different situations and circumstances)
i think it is pathetic that people will contribute. there are hundreds of charities who can put that extra money towards a good cause, not paying off her debt. jmho

    I sent her $5.
Although it is admittedly sleazy I kind of admire the creativity and the gumption to get herself out of debt.
    I left no return address.
