inexpensive vitamins??

  1. There is this ad running on the lifetime station for a discount vitamin catalog. It is called Puritan's Pride. Anyone every heard of them, anyone ever dealt with them? I am tempted to call and get the catalog. They really soak you for vitamins at the pharmacy and grocery store. However, I am naturally nervous about these TV ads.

    Here's the website:

I have ordered from them before. Didn't have any problems with them or their products.

I used to only buy "brand name" vitamins at my local drug store UNTIL I checked the prices/ingredients for generic vitamins at Walmart. I think I paid something like $4.99 for 250 for basic multivitamins. At this point in my life, I keep it simple -- don't want to have 10,000 things in my vitamin -- a plain multivit does the trick for me. Sue

Cheapest of all would be taking them as they come in a varied diet, unless you have an absorption problem. The manufacturers create the demand for unnecessary supplements out of our being unable to see a vitamin, and raising our insecurity. imo.

You might want to check out GNC's gold card membership. My hubby is a vitamin/supplement freak. By paying a membership price for a year, you continually get discounts on all of their products. I know our membership dues were actually offset enough by our initial savings on our 1st purchase that it actually was like getting the membership free.
