1. Just wanted to share with you all that after over a year in my job in a critical care area....I got a raise!

Now, where will I spend all of the 0.11 cents an hr more?

Then, to top it off...I see my hospital offering sign on bonuses left and right, and crying about high turn over rates...duh ya think so???

Bummer about the 0.11 cents thing.

A coworker of mine said she once got a raise for 0.01. Yup. One penny. Said she yelled at our boss that it was more of an insult than no raise at all!

(ducks head at my own $1.14 raise I got a few weeks ago)

    Geez, book the cruise.

You're worth more, don't forget that!

I got 3% and then we just got another 3% market adjustment (meaning the hospital down the road just raised their employees). So the total of 6% wasn't bad. (I got more than Heather then....hehehe, ducking my head now).

I would be insulted at .11, but I've gotten raises like that in the past. Just add it to your savings account, and in 100 years you could retire.

The .11 was THE insult. It's not the money, it's the lack of respect. I notice that the admininstative positions had their offices remodled.
    Heather, CONGRATS on your raise!

When I got my 5 cent raise, I turned in my letter of resignation and went full time agency, that was 2 1/2 years ago, best move I ever made, not to mention I doubled my salary.

Well... neener neener neener... they are offering us $.20 !! But they want us to start paying for our own medical insurance, so that would make me go in the hole for, let's see... about
    $1500 per year. *****??
See.... there's the clincher. I may have gotten a decent raise.... but I pay close to $4,500/year for my health/dental ins.

That hurts!! I carry our family's health insurance and pay just under $1800 a year for health/vision/dental.

I didn't get a raise with my last evaluation...seems like I have topped out the pay scale for staff nurses....kind of scary for 7 and 1/2 years of work!!
