I'm going to be an aunt again!!!! Soooo excited!!

  1. just heard today from my brother that they are expecting again. he didn't come out and say they were pregnant, but he asked if we still had the twin size beds that we used to sleep in as kids. it hit me and i blurted "you're pregnant!" he asked me my thoughts on if it was going to be multiples again and if it's going to be a boy or a girl. last time i was convinced it was 2 girls even though everyone said it was going to be 2 boys. well, i was right.

i'm going to be an aunt...again!!! sure, at first i was dizzy cause i was thinking 3 kids in diapers, twins just learned to sleep through the night, and they're going through the terrible-horrible-good-god-where's-the-booze- two's. but now i can't wait to meet my nephew or niece, that little person growing in my sil belly. life is amazing. babies make me oh so very happy!!

Congratulations! Nieces and nephews are great. I adore my nephew - he's such a cool little kid. Perfect example of this child - when he was about 20 months old, he saw a baby on the television and my sister-in-law asked if he was a baby, too. He said, "No, I'm a GUY." And he is!

My sister-in-law is expecting again, too. I'm so excited for them! My brother got diagnosed with testicular cancer this spring. He had surgery to remove one testicle, and then he had a four-week recovery period before he started radiation treatments. In that time, he not only managed to bank some sperm "just in case" - he also managed to get my SIL pregnant! Talk about being under pressure, LOL! The announced their pregnancy when she was about six weeks along and I was so happy for them. At the time, I myself was nine weeks along but hadn't yet told the family because I'm superstitious. It would have been fun to say, "ME TOO!" but I wanted them to have the attention for awhile, especially after such an emotionally devastating few months. Now that everything is out in the open, it's fun to think that our kids are only going to be a few weeks apart!

    Congratulations!

They are the best! I love to spoil my nieces and then give them back to my brother and sil. Let them deal with the consequences. I taught Emma to go "blaaaahhhh" with her mouth full of food - I know it's rude but it's so cute when she does it. Yeah, my bro called me on that one and for letting them turn the light switch on and off as much as they want. They love coming to my house because they know they'll get away with anything.

My prayers will be with your brother. I hope everything turns out ok. And how are you doing??? I had read that you were having problems. I pray everything turns out ok. You deserve it more than anyone else.

    thank you bethin!

things are going okay. i'm still very high risk for preeclampsia but at this point my blood pressure is stable. i have my 20 week ultrasound on the 21st and i'm starting to feel movement. my sister-in-law is doing great as well. if things go well for both of us, january will be a very very blessed month for my family.

Gompers, that was very thoughtful of you to let your bro and sil have the pregnancy spotlight, at the beginning (even though you knew you were too). Very nice.

I hope your pregnancy proceeds smoothly.

    Congrats Bethin! :hatparty:

And yes. Y'all are right - nephews and nieces are a delight.

My two little nieces love having me over. And they refuse to let me leave at the end of my vaccation... it's heartbreaking to see their sad faces when "Uncle Roy has to go away".

    cheers,
