I'm going crazy here.

  1. Hello my friends. Have good news and bad news. First the good news. I'M FINISHED WITH ALL MY CLASSES!!!! YEAH....BABY!!! No more finals to study for, except for the dreaded NCLEX of course But in 1 week from tomorrow I'll graduate from LPN school!!! Now for the not so good news. I took my Persantine stress test today and it hurt BIG TIME I mean it was so weird my vitals and EKG trcings during the test were NORMAL, but I thought I was going to arrest right there on the table. Meanwhile Dr. Bishara the cardiologist who was conducting the test was not in the least bit concerned. I mean, am I truly crazy? Is this pain all in my mind? This pain was crushing me to death it hurt that bad. After the chemical part I had to get pictures taken to comare to the resting pictures that were taken a few days ago. I don't know what to feel or believe about my chest pain. I had to take a nitro after the test while I was visiting my mom. And still the pain is not totally gone. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I NEED YOUR GUESSES, OPINIONS, SPECULATIONS, ANYTHING JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK IS CAUSING THIS CRUSHING PAIN. I am at a loss here. Please help me. I thank you all in advance, and Please know that I thank God for you all every day. I love you all. Warrior Woman.

WW, it could be what I spent the night in the hospital for last Sept.-STRESS! I was put on an antidepressant, antiinflammatory, and a mscle relaxer. I got a bottle of NTG as insurance. The cardiologist said that I had so much tension in my back and shoulders it ws pulling on the intracostals, and they, in turn, were putting tension on my sternum, thus causing the chest pain. Let me tell you, he was right! Good luck in your pursuit of a diagnosis, and best wishes to your Mom. Congrats on finishing your classes!

good news...if Nitro did not relieve the pain I doubt it is your heart........could be many things but cardiac is probably not one of them
