I'm a Grandma!!!!!

  1. Just thought I'd share my good news with my online friends!

My daughter had a beautiful, healthy baby boy at 0427 this morning. I was there for the delivery (of course) and he's a wailing wonderful miracle! He weighed in at 7lbs 13oz and 12.25" long!

    I'm in HEAVEN!!!!

    this is so wonderful!
    congratulations!

from a card my younger sister, a grandma, got:

    it is ok:
    1. to carry lots of pictures to show....and describe the new baby in complete detail...
    2. to state that this is the most beautiful child that has ever been born.....
    3. to start buying presents before you know what sex the baby will be (even though you may well have to exchange them later when you do know.....
    it is not ok:
    1. to do #1 and #2 above with non relatives who are non grandparents.
    2. to give the expectant parents any advice.
    3. to spoil this child with too many presents and treats.

now that you know the rules....
go ahead and break them all. after all, that's what grandparents are for!

    congratulations, granny!!!!!

you're going to love being a grandmother---it's like a friend of mine once said, if i'd known how much fun grandkids are, i'd have had them first!

seriously........there is nothing in the world quite like holding the firstborn of your firstborn and realizing that you will live on in that child, long after you're gone. and of course, there's nothing like chasing him or her throughout the house, both of you laughing hysterically, while your child looks on and says "how come you never let me run in the house?!"

    enjoy!
