I'm with you, Robin. I haven't been in the Christmas mood since Christmas two years ago when my sister was in ICU. She passed away earlier this year. My roommate is super into Christmas, so I put on a happy face and go along.

We managed to have a nice Christmas anyway, though. It was a white Christmas, too!

I look forward to Christmas every year but kinda glad when it's over, for me it's a time to forget about classes and things that bug me.

I enjoy the Hymms during the Christmas Program at Church every X-mas eve, brings tears to my eyes.

Watching ppl unwrap gifts ands seeing the Joy on their faces.

And Most of all I enjoy my MIL's great Dinner on Christmas Day, she is the best cook.

But I kinda know how you feel Robin, and there is so much $ wrapped into X-mas anymore, gosh.

Mel D, I'm sorry you lost your Sister this year

It's not so much the money for me, but the stress of it all. I'm nototirous for biting off more than I can chew, having my hand in too many pots, wearing too many hats, etc. (see, I even came up with too many cheesy sayings!) I'm just glad it's over, and that I can breathe for a minute, get caught up.....

I wasn't very Christmasy this year either. I really think the stress from school sort of killed it for me--that and the lack of $$. I felt guilt over every gift I bought and received. I went out this morning to get some half price paper towels. When I got home, DH had most of the Christmas stuff down and it felt SO good.

I am so not in a Christmassy place this year either. Luckily I dont have the trouble of taking all the Christmas decs down as I didnt go to the trouble of putting them all up in the first place.

I am glad it's over but not because of any sad memories or anything. I just want the stores to get back to normal so I can find a #$%&^* parking space! Sorry to hear about your sis Mel D, she must have been very young. ((((((((Mel)))))))).

I'm just sick of the demands on my time from certain family members. You freaken people see me all year, why do I need to be there 24/7 at Christmas time. Yep, I'll take my own bed over the couch any day.

I am glad it's done. I had the flu for 4 days prior to X-mas, had a huge sit down dinner along with all the other obligations, and HAD to go shopping today. Came home, took a nap and feel worse now. Going to bed shortly. Glad it's all done.....
