I am once again crossing party lines due to a crappy candidate for the democratic ticket.

    :spin:

This is an interesting development - hardly anyone has actually posted on this thread but so far 22 people have voted - looks like it is 50/50 at the moment.

Everyone knows how I feel about the incumbant, but yes...McCain would get my vote. Maybe in 2008. For now, of course, Kerry is my guy.

I saw McCain interviewed the other night and was impressed - no wonder you all talk of him - he comes across and intelligent, thoughtful and with a core integrity.

Yes, he shows sensitivity and intelligence. And a sense of humor...I got a kick out of him on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Before he sat down to chat, he was looking under the cushions on the couch; Stewart asked what he was looking for and he said "I'm looking for the chart."...That was the chart that Rummy didn't bring to the hearings that reflected the chain of command. :chuckle

He impresses both parties, as he is non-partisan. He truly wants what is best for America. IMO. And no one is going to try and trash his war record!

I would like to see a true candidate out there. Someone who's interested in serving without getting all tied up in the politics. As it stands now, I don't like any of the ones listed in the survey, but would vote for Bush.

Well, seeing as how our options are kinda limited, I would go with Kerry. I think both candidates are weak. But I already KNOW about Bush's agenda, and I have NO PLANS to support him. EVER. All I can do for that man is pray for him.
