Ideas to make $$$ in 4 months?

  1. I'm hoping you all can pass on some ideas on how I can make $2000 in 4 months! lol
I have decided to have a garage sale, and put things up on ebay...but what else could I do?
The money I earn at my job pays bills, so that money cant be touched. I need extra money! (ah...dont we all??!!)

I look forward to hearing your ideas!
    Thanks

Ever thought of selling eggs (the ones from your ovaries, not chickens)?

I have a friend who paid part of his school expense with a paper route. Cleared about $200 a week. That is $3200 in 4 months. Of course this was 6-7 years ago, so you would probably clean more now.

One of my favorite things to do is iron, anyone who knows me well, knows this.

When my daughter was going on exchange to another country, I ironed, made excellent money at $1.00 a piece, adds up fast, and I was stress free. (ironing is one of the ways I relieve my stress)
anyway, how do you feel about ironing?

I might suggest that you may want to consider whether your bills are all "set in stone." Just as a fr'instance: my SIl struggles to get by and has another baby on the way. She makes too much for public assistance, and personally, I don't think she needs it. She is wondering how she is going to pay the additional day care fees when the new baby comes along. (I will leave aside the argument that the difference between what she earns and what she will pay out in day care is so miniscule that on a strict financial accounting it isn't worth it for her to work outside the home...) She and hubby each have a cell phone; they have cable, etc. These things are not actually necessities. And I'm not suggesting that there are $500/month in extraneous expenses, or that you don't deserve fun money, just that it's possible you might be able to squeeze a little more out of your monthly budget that would get you closer to your goal. Other more grandiose suggestions can include even reconsidering your living space. If you are in a rental situation, do you have more room than you need and are therefore paying more than you need to in rent just to store your stuff (stuff you may not love or need?)

Like I say, just some thoughts - I obviously don't know your full situation and just wanted to toss out a couple of ideas. Good luck - I know it's a struggle with you just being married, still studenting, etc. I hope you speed your way through these next four months!

Hmmm..... Can you refinance anything. With the lower interest rates perhaps you can transfer a balance from a higher interest rate credit card to a lower rate one and save money there. Or if you own a home you can refinance as well.

Garage sales are good. You could partake of the time honored tradition known as "garbage picking". Go out the night before garbage day and pick up decent items like furniture, ect. Do some minor repairs if needed and then sell these items at garage sales.

Sell your plasma once or twice a week (Hey-somebody's gotta do it).

Can you sell crafts at work? I used to make flower arrangements and they were so popular that people would order them. I had more work there than I could handle. Flower arrangements and wreaths and valances brought me $30 net profit apiece. Also any seasonal candle decorations are big sellers (Hmmmm.... I could do this again).

People at work would comment "I could make this at home but I just don't have enough time". For extra oomph there are spray on scents that can customize any arrangement.

Good luck kid. Let us know how you make out.
