I wrecked my truck today.

  1. I must have been mentally somewhere else. I pull into work and get out of the truck like everyday. 10 minutes later the Janitor comes over and says "Your trucked rolled down the hill and crashed into a tree".
I thought he was BSing me but sure enough.
I had to wrap a chain around the bumper to the tree to pull the bumper away from the tire.
I can drive it but the whole Rt front side is smashed.
Insurance will pay for it (minus the $500.00 deductible) but I am just sad that my baby is hurt.
I am a fanatic about putting on the emergency brake too...what was I thinking?
The first estimate I got today.....$5687.00!

Sorry to hear about your truck
Sure can understand about hating to see it hurt. I have an older model Dakota but I love that thing and treat it like a part of the family. (Gotta be good to it, I need it to last til the end of school )
Glad the insurance will cover the majority of it.

No rental but I can probably borrow one of my moms trucks for the couple of weeks that mine will be in the shop. The good news?...I was wanting a new paint job anyway.

Sorry to hear about this Russell. A man's truck is much more than a hunk of steel, it is like a family member.

That really stinks! Sorry that happened...it's all because of the nursing shortage you know!

I'm fond of my truck too.
    wimmin like trucks.
mine is a 1985 chevy long bed- his name is Scottsdale and he has over 400k miles on him. I kid you not. The engine has been rebuilt x3
    I feel your pain.
My mother-in-law hit a mare while driving this truck.
Both mil and mare survived. Had a shade tree body repair.
    would not recommend this.

My trucks name is "Totanka Blanca"
A combination spanish/Sioux name meaning "White Buffalo"
I'm definitely fixing her up...better than new!
