I Won The Lottery!!!

  1. Yeah, right. In my dreams. So what would you do if you one one million or more?

I have so much family by the time I got everyone a house and a new car, I wouldn't have enough money to by a slurpee.LOL

Seriously, (Church) and my family first.

I want a huge house that I help to build with a 3 plus car garage. I would also want to build a quad house with an atrium/pool/whirlpool in the middle and have it specifically for disabled people (quads, ect) so they can help each other and have a nice place to live.

I want to also start a scholorship for single parents so they would not have to work while in school. (LVN or ADN.)

I also want to take a cruise even though I just watched Ghost Ship:uhoh21: and the Titanic.:blushkiss

(With my family) I want to walk into a car place and ask for a salesman that really needs the money (single parent and such) and buy cars from her/him. Could you imagine the look on their face???

Of course, I would give money to my church.

Over a mill, and I would want to start a low-cost clinic in my moms name for people who can not afford healthcare. Be able to x-ray, CT scans, a dentist, the whole works.

So what would you do? Would you continue to work?

Yes I'd continue to work - what would I do with my time otherwise? There's a certain kind of saisfaction that can only be brought about from a job well done. The "job" doesn't necessarily have to be the one you're doing now --- but I doubt many of us here would sit idly on our hands once we won a lottery.

    With a mil or more?
    It'd go to my parents.

I have to think a bit about the money.

I just can't believe you want to take a cruise after watching Ghost Ship! That movie freaked me out!!! Titanic was OK, but there's probably not that much of a chance of a ship running full steam ahead iinto an ice field. But Ghost Ship was a weird movie...!

I'd pay off the house (which is being built), buy cars for my family (we all own old cars), and buy a small house for my mom (lives in Hawaii). After that, the money would be all gone! I wouldn't go haywire on the cars, we'd just get a few Honda's, maybe splurge on a Lexus.

I would pay off my debts, invest in real estate, start one or two small businesses for continued cash flow, invest in a fast food franchise, and continue to work (prn, of course). I would also go to school full time just to pass the breeze. My car is 6 years old, so I would invest in a new car (nothing extravagant or showy).

Real Estate---I want to "flip" houses. I am watching that right now on TLC, and it looks like fun, as long as you get your investment back.

Years ago, my DH and I found a place that would have been perfect for a Chick-fil-a. If we would have had the money we would be millionaries by now. Someone had the money, turned it into a CFA, and everytime I go by there it is soooo busy. I take the long way around to work otherwise I get disgusted knowing that we had that idea years ago. Ugggg.

I'd probably pay my bills, move to a bigger house, buy a new car. I'd probably be more interested in being an investor in other people's businesses rather than running my own business.

Of course, I'd have to quit working the floor, (my theory is that if you have money, you'll be sued), but no problem, because I'd probably do a lot of volunteer work.

I'm just not the type to sit home.

PS Funny you should start this thread, because I did have 3 numbers and won something tonight-- $11.50--just enough to get a little gas in the car.

    Whee! Big Spender!

You think gas, and I am thinking 11 more lottery tickets. LOL. No, I am not addicted. I contain myself to 10 dollars a week, so no flaming.:blushkiss

Really, unless you invest to make it grow, a million dollars isn't all that much. But I'd certainly like to have some.

I'd pay of my house fix it up and sell it and buy a better one. I hate this house. I'd pay off my siblings and parents debt.

    I'd give 10% to charity.

I'd stash the rest away to grow, taking out an "allowance" monthly.

I'd continue to work if it was "only" a million. But hopefully will have it create a nice nest egg for the future.

Ahh, everyone's dream. Just live well, I think....and give a lot to *good* charities....make up some nursing scholarships,...etc.

Depending on how much money I won I would do all or some of the following:

    1. Skydive

    2. Ride in a MiG jet - yes, they allow this.

    3. Take flying lessons.

    4. Spend 6 months or more volunteering in a Third World country

    5. Take a world cruise. 125 nights for $60,000

    6. Buy a beach house in Coronado, CA

    7. Set up a trust fund for my nieces

    8. Give money to my parents and brother

    9. MOVE OUT!!

    10. Buy a Porsche Cayene or a Ford Mustang Shelby

    11. Donate to charities

    12. If I could buy a miracle, I would cure my Crohn's and ulcerative colitis

I would definitely continue to work. I get bored sitting around the house and I am fully capable of working so why not?

    Pay off the house.

Set aside some of the money for when Dad will need it.

Go PRN until i got my masters.

Pay off the car (may get another one).
