I want to know.........

  1. how everyone is doing with their weight loss? and Rusty- are you still off the dreaded weed??

    I have struggled and managed to lose 32lbs but have ground to a halt and its getting really hard- have 20lbs to go to get to target but worry that I will back slide!! I do loads of exercise- fencing, gym, aerobics and bike to work, as well as salsa!! so anyone got any advice............or is everyone in the same boat as me???

    summer is coming.........and I vowed to wear nice clothes this year rather than tents!!

    I am in the same boat!

    I've been on Atkins and have lost 45 lbs, with 30 to go.
    I have been on a stall and have only lost ONE lb since Nov.
    At least I haven't gained.

    But, i don't exercise at all. My job is very labor intensive and wears me out, so I just do not have the energy to exercise. I plan to buy a bike soon. At least that way, I can exercise and be off of my aching feet!

    I've lost 5 pounds in the last 6 weeks on Atkins. Not getting very far but I only want to lose 10 pounds total. It's getting really hard now because nothing has happened since the initial 5 pounds in the first 10 days of the diet. Now, nothing. I've even added treadmill to my day. I haven't GAINED anything so that's good but I'd be really happy to take off five more pounds. Scale hasn't moved in weeks though. I'm thinking about going back to counting calories.

    I lost 12#s after I retired, not doing anything, just not having any stress from the work meanies to deal with.

    The 1st of Feb, I joined Weightwatchers online, after about 4 weeks, I started using an old Jane Fonda tape I've got. Then, earlier this month, I joined "Curves for Women". Since I started this 'crusade', I've lost 28#s more. I have about a zillion more to go, but I'm not suffering at all, just following the directions, staying on my points, going to curves, drinking my water, etc, etc.

    My only complaint is my tummy--after 38#s, I've lost exactly 1 inch from my waistline. Sheesh. My pants are flapping in the breeze, but I don't want to buy new ones until my waist is smaller.

    I do feel MUCH better, and the doc is very happy w/me.

    KarenG - I am right there with you. I have lost 34 lbs. But right now I am stalled. I haven't lost anything in about 5 weeks. I'm getting ready to give up. I did Weight Watchers with my husband (he has lost 49), but its not doing it anymore. How did you loss yours? Maybe we should switch plans and see if we can "trick" our metabolism

    I've lost about 5lbs. I haven't been real motivated, but keep swearing that I'm about to have a healthy revalation, but then I decide that sleep is more important.

    ,,,, after trying all sorts of diets,,, my whole life,,, Jan 2002,,, I decided,, to eat healthy,,,, not after 630pm,,,, good snacks,,, etc,,,, took me a year to lose,,, total,,, 49 lbs,,, I am now at my goal weight,,,,

    OMG,,,,, trying to buy clothes is so wierd,,, looking for a size 8 instead of buying and xl,,,,or xxl,,,,

    The thing I am most proud of,,,, unlike all those other diets,,, this has become a life style,,,, I have maintained my wieght since Jan,,, 2003,,,,,, five months now,,,, without gaining anything,,,,

    A first for me,,,,!!!!! I am just eating a balanced meal,,, lots of water,,,, healthy snacks,,,, NO junk food,,,,, okay,,, I may treat myself once every now and then,,,,, but,,,,,

    if only it was that easy!! maybe it is..............I am following weight watchers, but guess I like my food too much!! mind you, have dropped 4 clothes sizes!! being able to buy a size 10/12- american sizes- is just brilliant!! just want to get a bit smaller!!

    I have lost 16lbs since March 1st. No snacks after supper, one hour of walking or biking a day, low fat/low cal diet. I feel great and can fit into my jeans again!

    My boyfriend has lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks on Atkins....
