I survived the panel interview! (whew)

  1. That had to be the shortest job interview I've ever been in. 7 minutes, tops. Four or five questions and out the door. It happened so fast I'm not even sure how or what I did or said, though I do have a memory of at least twice seeing nodding heads all around. I THINK that's a good thing.

I managed to whack my knee on the doorframe on the way out, to finish with an elegant and graceful exit! LOL

I kind of giggled when I got out to the waiting room though. I wore a suit, nylons, pumps, the whole nine yards. A classmate of mine was waiting, she was wearing a skirt and blouse. And two other students were sitting there...in scrubs. Either I was waaaaay overdressed, or they were a wee bit underdressed.

Okay, I'm yakking too much, adrenaline still coursing through my veins. But I'd mentioned the interview on Sunday and thought I'd let you know how it had gone.

Shoot, I wonder how badly I did???? Now I can think of things I wish I'd said...when they said "do you have anything else you'd like to say." Oh well...too late now.:selfbonk:

At least you have a good sense of humor about it, lol! I hope you aced it, and get the job. If not, it was a good experience, a practice run for the next one. (I would have dressed as you did. My last interview, I giggled partway through it and the Cardiologist [my boss now ] looked up, asking, "why are you laughing?" I answered, "because I'm nervous, I guess." Big smile from me, too. Ah well!) Good luck!

Best of luck! Grin. I'll bet you make a nice graceful exit when you're done too.

Just relax now, the dread is over. I know how you stay up nocs, however, thinking of all the things you could have, would have, should have, and WANTED to say. Oh yeh. That part sux worse than the interview itself.

Keep us posted, and hope all works out for you !

It's so TRUE! By the time I headed for bed I was into that...coulda, woulda, shoulda. Yep yep. My mind is so MEAN to me!

    southernlpn, how did yours go???

Mine went well. I did have to wait because the nurses involved were off the unit, but that's understandable. Thankfully, my clumsiness didn't come out, lol! Have you heard anything yet?

GREAT! I hope it turns out for you, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I did ask when I might expect to hear back, and they said they expected to make a decision very rapidly. grin. Its a county position and I wonder if their definition of rapid and mine is even slightly close to the same.

Hey southernlpn...I may have just missed the news somewhere, but have you heard back about your job interview?

I'm still waiting, and waiting, and waiting. grin

Yes, I interviewed on Thursday and got the call on the following Monday. That's warp speed for the hospital I work at. Have you tried calling the NM?
  14. by Halinja
Wow, that is warp speed! I hope that it was the news you wanted to hear. I'm going to assume that it was and say Congratulations!

Several of us interviewed, and no one has heard a word. But then...its government...
