OK, I have some stupid questions. This is what I want to do with my palm. I will be starting a workers comp CM job, and I want to be able to make a pt database, with all demo info, be able to take notes from reports, etc, then sync it into my laptop, where I can print reports.
OK, first question. If I want to hot sync info in the plam to my PC/laptop, where does it go? If you buy palm software, does it come with the associated PC software? I have seen Documents to Go, which has word excel, power point etc...so obviously they would sync w each other, but what about RN Palm, does that sync into a main computer?
How do those expansion cards work? Do you have to change these cards to use different parts of your PDA? Ex if I am entering stuff into my database, can I stop and lookup a med in a diff program?
How is everyone using their palms. I am very interested to hear of anyone is using it for Case Management??

Your Palm should come with HotSync software. This will allow you to exchange appointments, to dos, address, and notes between your Palm and you desktop. If you can fit the info you need into these categories you're set. If you need to keep a detailed pt.l database you'll need a speciality program. Go to Handspring.com and search for medical, database,pt. iformation or whatever works until you find what you need. I know there is at least one program at Handspring that has a pt. data base that includes name, age, address, phone, diagnosis, lab results, vs, and other data. Finding it shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks Connie. I have read a lot of articles on the palms, but they don't seem to address the "how" to do of this info exchanging.
