I lost my perscription benefits today....

  1. eep....apparantly, either, I'm moving to canada, or, quitting school so I can work the extra 16 hours a week so that my ins. will cover my meds... lovely... (actually, no... theres only another year or so of school, so I'm gonna grin, wheeze and bear it.)

not the greatest thing.... considering that I take Advair discus, Albuterol inhaled/nebulized( depends on how bad it is) and Imitrex injectable...(ouch)

    question is...
do you guys know of anything like that 'discount drugs' thing I see on morning TV or anything quazi similar? I'm wondering this, as, meds are mucho dinero.... and, I've been broke lately.... and, If I dont have to put it on my credit cards... its even better... (cant see paying intrest on drugs...) and, I'm feeling kinda clueless about this now...

    thanks guys...

Yeti - there are patient assistance programs through most pharamaceutical companies. GlaxoSmithKline provides several of my patients Advair who qualify based on income - ditto ventolin inhalers. Someone has to act as your "advocate" for that program - usually a nurse at your doctor's office. PM me and I'll give you some more information.
