I know he mean well

  1. Please give me the strength not to make him feel badly.

I went to bed around 10:30 this morning, working again at 2330. My sister was coming over and two of our three kids would be home for supper. I didn't realize that DH was keeping supper for as late as possible and he woke me around 1845 so I could join them. I know he meant well - it's Christmas eve. But I'm so tired. I could have slept another hour or two.

I'm working so hard on not lashing out, he meant well.

Bless you, I hear your struggle loud and clear. He did mean well, you're right. I hope your shift isn't too bad.

What nationality is your name? When I was little we had neighbors from Indonesia, and the oldest girl's name was the same as yours.

8 hours of sleep isn't too bad. I love waking up and having a meal ready for me before I go to work .... that's the best

Oh, I agree - but it wasn't a restorative sleep, quite fitful. :-(

I worked nights for 12 years and dear husband (and I do mean that sincerely) would waken me for special dinners too. I don't think I ever slept well in the 12 years I worked nights. lol

I'm sorry it was so hard for you. I pray that the next several nights you would be able to sleep really well.

Awww....he meant well. Just kindly let him know you could have used a few more hours sleep so you could be at your best during your night at work. :flowersfo

Try to enjoy the gift that he gave you. At least you have someone that loves you enough to do something like that for you. Given time, you'll remember the gift, not the lack of sleep. One lasts, the other passes. God bless you both.

The holidays are a particular struggle for those working the night shift. Especially when non-night shfit workers wake you up. God luv ya! I hope you get a snooze in later.
