I don't feel very good..

  1. I don't know what it is, but I just feel like crap... No fever or any kind of S/S, but I just feel like I have been ran over by a bulldozer.. No energy.. I went to walmart today to try and shop and I felt like the only thing keeping me up was the shopping cart.... I have worked the past few nites (busy orthopedic floor), but last nite we were slow and I still felt horrible...

Sorry, sure none of this matters to ya'll but maybe someone has some ideas of non-major stuff that could be wrong..

Well it could very well be that your over-doing it somewhat? Naw-- we never do that. But really around here there has been a bug going around. Its actually a G.I bug, but it seems to attack you before it attacks the G.I. tract.
Anyway I guess with those symptoms it could be alot of things.
Thyroid... Diabetes.... HTN... need I say more?

I can relate. I've been on clear and some full liquids now for the second day. Picked up one heck of a stomach flu. Takes me all day just to finish a little jello container. My blood sugars have been all over the place. Down to 54, up to 171, not making any sense! I know I have to force fluids, but it's hard trying to avoid puking my guts out. Yuck.

Sure it matters, Nurs2b... we all support one another here. I hope you're feeling better soon, and please see the doc if you start to get more s/s.
I had pneumonia a few weeks ago and never had a fever over 98.8; just some SOB on exertion. So ya never know...

Mono, Lyme's disease, Chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep apnea, hepatitis, hypothyroid, these are all things I think of first with extreme fatigue. Most of these can be ruled out by lab work, so...get thee to a doctor asap!!!

I hope you feel better soon nurs2be! SOmetimes I wish I could just be sick and get it over with! I hate that slow, run-down "off" feeling that lingers for weeks sometimes!

I know nurses are bad at it, but please take care of yourself!

Have you been getting enough sleep lately? When I feel a little blue I can't shake that feeling of tiredness though......hope you feel better soon!!

How many days in a row did you work, and did you get enough sleep? And what shift did you work? Some people just can't handle nights, it messes up their circadian rhythms.

There is a stomach bug going around. I was unusually tired for two days and wondering why. Suddenly at 2am the vomiting started. I now have a rash, it almost looks like 3 day measels. I am one person who seems to frequently get a rash with viruses. It is almost like a virus trigers an alergic reaction in me. You may have to call off for two days ane spend the time in bed.

nurs2b, I agree with the others. Sounds like you need to take a few days to rest. REALLY rest. Don't feel guilty about staying in bed. All day. All night. Sleep to your hearts content. REST.

I hate to sound like a typical OB nurse, but could you be pregnant???

Lots of women report feeling really 'run down' in early pregnancy.

    Just a thought.

Hope you feel better soon. :kiss
