Our family is supposed to be going to Maine this week, but two family members in the hospital. Someday I will get there, and to the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia.

I would take you to Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion for the fun parks then go to the Shennandoah Valley and Skyline Drive to visit the caves. You could also go to the beach as well.

I've visited Germany and lived in Turkey but I want to visit Ireland.

If you came to visit me, then you would be bored to tears! I could take you to Gettysburg....and show you the battlefield....
It is a tourist town and many visitors every year crowd the streets, but I guess the whole thing is wasted on me..... They have battles that are re-enacted, and tours to find ghosts, and horseback riding, and mountains and towers and loads of scenery....(boo hoo) all about the battlefield!
A little way down the road, I could show you the inner harbor in Baltimore, and the science center. If we take a little detour we could go to the National zoo in DC.
Just 200 miles away is Philadelphia......liberty bell, and night life...major sporting events..??

Well, If I could go anywhere to visit it would be the midwest...never been there.

I saw a show on Discovery channel about a cruise ship called voyager of the sea, and that looks like great fun

Yeah, there's not much to see here. It's not that we wouldn't have an awesome time, there's just nothing totally unique here.

If I could go anywhere, I'd want to go to Maine. I've always wanted to visit there. Stephen King nut here.

stephany, ditto with what heather said, there isn't much in my area either. amusement parks are 1-2 hours away. however, if you are interested in shrines, we have many in ohio, one not too far from where i live, it's quite a religious experience for those that enjoy that kind of thing.

well, i would like to go back to california someday, we visited relatives in fresno, went to san diego on the beach, went to alcatraz, that was pretty cool.

as far as other states i would like to visit fla more in the wintertime, probably a shopping trip to chicago, guess we can take a train from where i live.

i do want to go to ny city and see a broadway show, so that would be a really cool things to do !!! go back to washington d.c. one day.

ok, i think i've written enough, kinda windy here..lol..

    Na,na,na,na,nahhhhh.....!!!!...hehehe!!!

I can go by Steven Kings house anytime I want to!! But, it's really creepy looking!! He's got this huge black fence out front and it's got these creepy black creature thingies on it.....I'm only like a half hour away from Bangor. Where Steven King lives, since the mall is in Bangor too, and everything else.

You'd definatly get bored just staying in Bangor, but there's a lot of other places to go and things to do. I love the coast, Bar Harbor is the best. Not big on lobster, but I like to hike the mountains, and walking on the beach and the big rocks. Or going on a little boat trip to Monhegan Island, where John Travolta has a huge mansion on the water.....Yea, Maine is pretty cool.....:chuckle

There is a big a$$ clown face marquis in the front of Circus Circus casino on the Strip. Everytime I pass that place I think of the clown Pennywise from Stephen King's books. Freaks me out.

Haven't seen too much of US other than Calif; raised in No. Calif (San Jose, Palo Alto), hubby and I lived in Napa Valley for awhile (lovely, hate poison oak!), have been in present area over 20 yr, halfway between LA and Palm Springs. Beach in one hr, mts (even snow skiing in winter) 40-50 min away, desert - yeah, right here, more desert-y area is one hr away. We like the outdoors more than the nite life; don't go into LA unless we have to. Have had annual passes to Disneyland for the past couple of years, kids n' us enjoy. Have relatives in SF, enjoy visiting, wouldn
't want to live there. 'Course, if you were to come here, we'd accommodate ya in wherever YOU wanted to go!!
Would like to see more of the US: Boston, Wash DC, NY, Maine, --- I like being visitor, not tourist. Would love to travel anywhere in Europe; have distant relatives in Greece, would like to go sometime, visit ancient ruins. Maybe after I retire . . .
