Howard Dean for president?

His vision for America is a good one, IMO. He's not very well known, but overall, I think he deserves consideration. This site has both negative (nonsupporters) plus positive (supporters) POV. He is going to officially announce his candidacy June 23rd. I, for one, will be watching this guy.

Your right Ive never heard of him. And what country is Vermont in and where is it. However I did research him, and will keep an eye on him. Definitely need to get a democrat back in there to clean up the Bush mess.

LOL...that cracks me up because, Vermont, being just south of Maine(where I am) obviously enjoys the same obscurity that my state does. I have been asked if Maine is part of Canada before. (Lately, I wish it was!) Oh, well. Vermont can't deliver us anything worse than Texas has.

I've heard good things about the countries of Vermont and Maine. Where are they located again?!?!?

Too funny, Ted. But, yes it's nice here, furthermore, you'd like the politics here.

The ironic part is that Bush Sr. lives in Maine. (Baby Bush was down last weekend)

I LOVE Maine!!! Childhood memories. . . our family used to own a summer cottage on a small island called MacMahan Island located off Bath, Maine. . . near Sheepscott Bay. I hold a lot of fond childhood memories of that island.

    Vermont. . . . equally gorgeous state.

What's the subject of this thread again?!?!? Oh yes! Howard Dean! :chuckle

I'm working tonight! Depending on what type of night I have, I hope to check him out!

    Thanks for the info.

Dean is my third choice currently.

    1. Bush, George W. - US President (94%)
    2. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (90%)
    3. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (87%)

The candidates' positions have been determined first by the candidate's actions, then their public votes, followed by their public statements, and whenever possible, special interest group rankings of the candidate have been factored in.

The results page links to information about the candidates including links to their websites, public statements and news reports. We also provide links to the special interest groups mentioned on this page.

What good has come out of the country of Vermont?
    Why me of course!

Vermont is a hard state to be in politically. We Vermonters like to be liberal, yet conservative on many issues. Much of it can be compared to liking to have the cake and eating it too.

Dean of course is my candidate. I know there was little scandal in his office. I didn't pay too much attention to politics because I moved shortly after I turned 18, and never had to pay taxes, or worry about the politics that comes with maturity.

Vermont's other great political figures: Bernie Sanders, Jim Jeffords, Pat Leahy, Calvin Coolidge and Chester A. Arthur.

I think many New Englanders have a similar political bent. I do hope Howard Dean is able to impress the people. I think he may be our guy! And no scandals? Can that be? How cool would that be?!

    Gephardt 92%
    Edwards 87%
    Kerry 82%

    Bush 3%

    Didn't surprise me.
