How terrible is this?

  1. I have been married five years now. My anniversary was April 3. Here is the terrible part..........I forgot my anniversary until earlier this week.......... Now before you judge me , my husband forgot too! When I brought it up to him, I asked him when our anniversary was. He said, April 4th or something like that. I asked him what the date was (on day that I discovered this) and he told me and I asked him where our anniversary celebration was in all of this...You should have seen the look of horror on his face. I told him it was OK, I forgot too. Actually, I thought it was pretty funny that I would be so unobservant of my OWN anniversary and by more than a few weeks.

Anyone else forget an important occasion?

I think that we should just pick one day a year and celebrate all holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. on that day, then no fuss during the rest of the year. What do ya think? Hmmmmmmm, after thinking about it, forget it, I want cake for every celebration and I don't want to limit it to once a year. LOL

Yeh.. we've done it too, several times. Mom comes for her annual visit from Az. right at Mother's Day and close to our anniversary (within days)... so with all teh preparations and hoopla surrounding her visit, we just seem to forget all about our own anniversary !

Yep! Hubby and I have been married for four years and we've forgotten every anniversary except for one. Luckily our parents usually remember and call us on that day. We felt really foolish forgetting the first one, but we just laugh about it now. I guess January is just not a good month for an anniversary because all the Christmas rush is winding down, and we just don't think about it.

    Happy anniversary Kimmi and Belinda!

Happy anniversary you guys. Maybe you and your hubbies can make a weekend of it. Dinner, movies, maybe a motel for some private time and the pool. Or maybe just some snuggling. Happy, happy in whatever you do.
