How Much Leftist Ideology Has Corrupted Nursing?

  1. I'm heading into my BScN in September, and wondering how much leftist nonsense will be in my program? Should I expect to see a lot of it, or very little? Considering it's a BSc I'm hoping very little...

Depends upon what you consider leftist nonsense? What could possibly be politicized in a nursing education?

Gee, do you want a leftist to answer that or just those who lean right? You thread title and comment is divisive. Nurses (and students) fall on all spectrums of political beliefs. I would LOVE to know what "leftist nonsense" has corrupted nursing. As far as I can tell, not much. Nor do I think right leaning nonsense has corrupted nursing.

Well if by leftist ideology you mean respectful of cultural diversity and accepting of gender identity as defined by the patient, then it's very leftist.

    Maybe try accounting instead.

Sorry, you're correct... I was just on my mobile at work when I typed out the thread. I edited it accordingly.

If you want any kind of meaningful answer to your query you should define exactly what you label leftest/leftist "nonsense". As far as I know, there's no universally agreed upon definition as to what qualifies as leftist nonsense.

If science is your thing, you should aim for asking precise and well defined questions, rather than vague/ambiguous ones.

Jeepers, I was just wondering how much of my program will be in the humanities. I have taken a few courses in the past that seemed to be taught presupposing a postmodern ideology. I pretty much only have an interest in science.

Ah yes because those on the right are clearly so supportive of science.....

Have you looked at the course outlines and course material? Are the courses mostly humanities or 'sciences'?
