Well, I did go to the Senior Prom because I was aware it would be the only prom opportunity I would ever have, and I didn't want, later in life, to regret not going. No worries, though. It was a pretty dull and stupid experience, AND I had to get dressed with a gown and an 'up-do'. Hardly what I'd term a party.
The next year, before I flunked out of community college for not attending classes (nothing to do with nursing) I went to a gathering (not a party-party) where I had my first LARGE glass of wine . . . on an empty stomach, no less. I was hit on by a guy to whom I remember saying, "I may be drunk, but I still know what I DON'T want to do!" Then I spent 1/2 an hour vomiting into the hedges.
No partying in Nursing School
, unless you count the big water-fight in the dorm, where I was the only one who did NOT get wet. I put on my "Boston-Subway-Face" which was an expression communicating "Don't you dare even THINK about messing with me!" But I was nice and helped clean up after it was all over.
Yep, not much of a party-person.
