How many parties did you attend when you were in high school?

  1. Just wondering for the nursing population, how many parties did you attend per year when you were in high school? And how many did you attend when you were in university/college per year?

Well, honestly in high school I had zero intention of becoming a nurse, so
it's irrelevant. Nevertheless, I was a huge nerd in high school. I went to
maybe, I dunno, two parties a year.

In my first round of college, still irrelevant, no nursing. Went to a LOT of
    parties though, lol.

In nursing school... guess what. The only party I went to was a
Halloween party that I had at my house one year. Not a lot of time
for partying. Course I was working full time as well.

    Fun question.

I partied hardy in school. I still party hardy at 66. I am still the nurse you want to take care of your mother.

Well, I did go to the Senior Prom because I was aware it would be the only prom opportunity I would ever have, and I didn't want, later in life, to regret not going. No worries, though. It was a pretty dull and stupid experience, AND I had to get dressed with a gown and an 'up-do'. Hardly what I'd term a party.

The next year, before I flunked out of community college for not attending classes (nothing to do with nursing) I went to a gathering (not a party-party) where I had my first LARGE glass of wine . . . on an empty stomach, no less. I was hit on by a guy to whom I remember saying, "I may be drunk, but I still know what I DON'T want to do!" Then I spent 1/2 an hour vomiting into the hedges.

No partying in Nursing School, unless you count the big water-fight in the dorm, where I was the only one who did NOT get wet. I put on my "Boston-Subway-Face" which was an expression communicating "Don't you dare even THINK about messing with me!" But I was nice and helped clean up after it was all over.

Yep, not much of a party-person.

    I was the party.
    I am the party, still.

Just kidding. I'm a hermit recluse.

    High School-every weekend

College (I was not a nursing major)-every weekend and most Thursday nights

Nursing School (I was 45 when i went back to school)-None

I was never a big drinker. I just liked to be where the action was. Now I rarely drink and long to be in bed before 10 every night!

White Russians are the worst. Whoever thought of mixing vodka and milk....euwww...shudder...
    Sickest I've ever been . . .

. . .Except for when I was hanging out with Deputies and Rednecks, singing Merle Haggard and various Country Star's hits in awesome 5 part harmonies, and tossing down shots of Jim Beam. For three months I out-drank the rednecks; nobody could believe it.
Then one night I was running to the bathroom to puke, and broke my little toe on the door-jam, but didn't know it until much, much later. The porcelain-god was the only sturdy thing in my world. After two hours of extreme vertigo, I crawled off to a bed and slept 4 hours. Well, passed out actually. And that was the end of my Redneck Era. It was fun, until it wasn't anymore.

    Wasn't exactly partying, though.

Ain't had a drink since, nigh on these 30 years.
