How is Spring going for you?

  1. This is absolutely my favorite time of year! The trees are green, there are flowers everywhere and everything in my garden is growing.

I have azaleas blooming in pink and white, there is bridal bush looking like a snowfdrift in the corner, the pear tree is covered in small white blooms, and the roses are covered in tiny buds that promise color and scent in only days. I have dafffodils in the front flower bed and vinca in 4 different colors, while the pittasporum and pink ladys are a blast of frangrance and pastels.

The tomatoes have blossoms, the peppers have buds, the green beans are curling up from the ground and the squash is just now long enough to be growing up the trellis.

I can't wait for the herbs to get bigger so I can cut them and begin cooking w/ them. I have rosemary, thyme, parsley, cilantro, mint, garlic chives, basil and marjoram.

Now it's your turn! What does Spring look like where you are?

Well, the daffodils have been out for some time now, and the trees are budding. forsythia in full bloom, tulips starting to bloom... but still an occasional snow shower just to dampen the excitement...

'Sposed to warm up again by the weekend, though... I so love spring... I get soooooooooo giddy and ALIVE !!!

We had an unusually dry and warm March here in Western Oregon, and this weekend it's supposed to be back in the upper 60s and low 70s with lots of sunshine I love it!! My plants are blooming, the grass is lush and green, and the badminton net is up and operational.......let the good times roll!! :hatparty:

Everything is either bloomed out or starting to. Yipppppiieee. I was able to get back on the bike Monday and ride without a gale force wind blowing me backwards. It was wonderful and am planning on going again tonight unless the wind kicks up again.

It is beautiful here in North Carolina - everything is blooming and it is warm and sunny, but my allergies are driving me INSANE. I have lost my voice and even though my husband likes my raspy voice, it is making me crazy! I will actually be happier when the blooms are done!

I saw Shotzie is from Texas, how are your wildflowers? Up in North Texas we are seeing blossoming bluebonnets, indian paintbrushes and countless others I don't know the name of. It's looking like it's going to be a great year for bluebonnets. All the trees are getting green again. I used to live in Florida and things didn't turn all brown in the winter like they do here. We have just about finished planting new things in the backyard. We planted Wisteria, I love those purple blooms.

Of course my allergies have let me know Spring is here as well. Whenever I think Claritin doesn't help I'll forget to take it and wake up the next morning a complete mess.

We actually skip spring over here and are in "summer" right now............
The public school children are out of school now and on their summer holiday.
Everything will be back to normal in about one more month.

We have flowers continuously blooming over here all year round.
