How do you wrap?

  1. OK... I just purchased my wrapping paper for christmas. I choose a theme every year. Color, print, etc. This year I found a beautiful print w/ of all colors, lime green and red( sounds weird but sooo cute) and a solid red color to match. I got tags to match w/ cute santas that are on the paper. Does anyone else do this? What are your traditions for gift wrapping or do you use the I found them at of all places K-mart. The Martha Stewart collection has some way cute christmas decorations.

How do I wrap? Usually start about 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve - world class procrastinator here! Paper is whatever I find left at Walmart. If I'm lucky, I can find the scissors and tape, although I've been known to use my bandage scissors and krazy glue on the wrapping. Stick on bows, gift tags if I can remember where I stashed them. I guess basically I'm 180 degrees from Martha! Never got any complaints from my boys though.

I like really shiny, glittery packages. I always use foil wraps and/or metallic ribbon.

I like a busy print that hides my lack of wrapping skills!

I also like ribbons around boxes, curling ribbon, and coordinating bows. The bows and the paper HAVE to match!

HMMMM maybe I can wrap him up w/ my new paper. lol. Whats with cats and wrapping paper any way? Mine gets crazy when I pull it out, he HAS to walk all ove it and then plop

For the last few year I've wrapped all my Christmas gifts in kids wrap. I just love the diffrent prints and it makes me happy!

I'm all by myself on Thanksgiving and plan to start wrapping my Christmas gifts!

I try to wrap as I buy or else it gets out of hand. With 13 children alone to buy for...eesh. Between school, work, family, farm, and semi-life, I would never get it done. I buy paper in bulk the day after X-mas from Walmart (I hate paying $3.50 to wrap a sweater!).

However, this year I am turning over a new leaf. I usually have all of my gifts bought and wrapped by Halloween, but I have very few bought and even less wrapped (make that 4). Just can't get into the spirit this year...must be burnout.

Although certainly no Martha when it comes to housework, I am all about themes when it comes to gift wrapping. Paper, tags and ribbon must match, and all gifts must complement each other (even if they're being given to other people). There must be a hand-made component and I don't do gift certificates. Wheeee! No wonder I'm always do stressed getting all this done before christmas. I can't believe it's almost December and I'm not finished shopping!!!!!!!
