How 'Bout Them Bucs, Part 2

  1. I waited a few days to post this. I searched the board for any similar thread-starters and saw none. The bay area is still pumped up about the BUCCANEERS! SUPER BOWL CHAMPS! Woo-Hoo and hooray for the "team who invented loosing"! Congradulations to all the loyal Buccaneer fans who endured at least 20 years of crappy, cringe-inducing football play. The Bucs have come full circle! Fellow Florida nurses--help me out here and show your pride!!!

    Hey LoriAnn,

Didn't know if you caught my location? Changed it to reflect my pride. Although I didn't watch it in its entirety (I'm always afraid that by watching it, my team loses), so I would take sneak peaks. I must admit that I did see some good plays, especially that last TD. Now I'll have to search for one of those football jerseys...not easy to find in this area!

I did not notice the change of location but now that I see it: you go girl! I guess I'll have to break down and buy a $30 cap now. This is catty but I have to say it--don't the Glaser's (spelling?) look as if they fell out of the ugy tree and hit every branch on the way down? I know they are insanely rich men but would you not just chew your arm off in the morning in order to get away without waking that up? I believe it is also called 'Coyote Ugly'?

You all deserve to be proud ! Congradulations, what a great feeling it must be.

And what a great team !

Although I am not a Bucs fan, I must give credit to Tampa Bay. They certainly came out and played well, both in the NFC championship game (against my Birds, the Eagles) and in the Super Bowl vs the Raiders. Their stingy defense just shut down both teams. I couldn't believe they intercepted the NFL MVP, Rich Gannon, 5 times! Anyway, to all the Tampa Bay fans out there, congratulations and savor your team's great season!

But watch out next year! Everybody'll be gunning for the Bucs!

LLD-how true. We will be 'the target' next year. Not a drawback, though. Jon Gruden, aka Chucky, can handle it!

It's been an amazing week here in Tampa Bay. 66,000 or so fans showed up Monday night to wait hours and hours to greet the time. 100,000 or more skipped work/school to wait hours and hours to cheer them in a parade.

Yeah, I would say this area is "pumped up"!

    It's been exciting! Woot.

(Love the team. Hate the owners. That owner with his silly grin, always sticking his thumbs up. Greedy pig, I'm sure all he cared about was how much money he was making. But I love the team!)

Oh, I thought you meant the BUCkeyes of Ohio State! That was a GREAT GAME! Even better that they beat a FLORIDA team!
