There are no gossips in your family?
My step-daughter is negative, self-righteous and deeply into gossip that is really only her opinion and not necessarily anything but what she has decided is "The Truth" . . . but I don't reall count her as my family,y'know? That's not gossip, just an unfortunate fact of life. I pay her very little attention because if I did I would find myself hating her. As it is, I essentially just discount her blather and feel sorry for her narrowness of life-views. Nothing I can do about her, and I think that's a healthy way of dealing with her, don't you?

But me and my sibs? When together, we make observations in humourous veins, laugh a lot, but basicallly live and let live. We are all strong personalities and give each other wide berth because we have a tendency to annoy each other when we spend too much time together. Love at a distance can be a lot warmer in our cases. Does that make sense?

Don't have time to waste carrying on about the lives of others, it isn't all that interesting to me. Don't you think that we...all of us...don't really know all that transpires in the lives of others, their circumstances, etc. and that being snippy about them just drags us down?

Aren't I lucky to have had a mother who taught me tolerance and valuable attitudes?

    That's a considered a polite upbringing, isn't it?

Keeping the storms about others out of my brain is nice; because, jeez, don't I have enough troubles of my own?

Do you realize that, gossip hurts people?

Ain't we a pair!!! Was some of the gossip passed along about you funny? I have had a few laughs at the absurdity of some of the things that have come back to me; how 'bout you?

Do you know some of mine were, and I took care of it myself by going behind a partition in the senior housing where I live, and related the gossip about a friend of mine and I who went for rides together in our power chairs. I began: Do you realize the gossip that went around about --- & I were having an affair? Can you imagine? He has one leg and I'm fat and have pulmonary disease. During the sexual activity, I begin to cough so hard I have to stop, and him with his one leg is unable to position himself right? Do you know, that story stopped immediately?

Do you love to laugh like I do?

I love to laugh but it's been a while since I had one of those gut-splitting, can't-stop, my-cheeks-hurt and tears-run-down-my-cheeks, and every-time-I-start-to -wind-down, it-starts-up-all-over-again kinds of laughs, know what I mean?
