Houston Medical

  1. I don't know how many of you guys watched Houston Medical. It was similar to TLC's Trauma Life in the ER but it was on ABC and it was only for six episodes. One of the physicians on the show was Dr. Marnie Rose, she was a pedatric resident. She passed away friday morning. I don't know how many of you guys watched this show, but I was hooked and it's really sad that she died at such a young age. I have included the article written in the Houston Chronicle. She was an inspiration to many of us, with her great attitude and never say die mentality.

Thanks for letting us know. I had posted before, asking if anyone knew about her....but no one did... She was so sweet.

I hate to see that she died, I liked her a lot. I didn't care much for Dr. Mark Henry, the MicroHand Surgeon. Do you remember him?

I don't remember him very well, but Marnie made a lasting impression. Do you know them personally, or just from the show?

Just from the show. I think marnie was a total inspiration to MANY people. I know she made an impression on me. I wish I had known her personally.

INow that I read the article, I remember the episode when she found out the cancer was back and refused to tell her mother until the holiday dinner was over. The only one of those shows that I watched. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. She was a real fighter and a true inspiration.

I watched that show and always wondered /worried about her, she was truly an inspiration
I remember being hit with this overwhelming sadness when she was talking about the simple things like not being able to drive and having a hard time dating, then to see her with all her young patients, what an inspiration to them to have a dr who truly did understand what it was like to be them
    thanks for posting
    though I'm sad

Thanks for the update. So sorry to see that Dr. Marnie Rose died the day before my birthday. It was awe inspiring watching that show and how impressive she was in dealing with life's events.

Also enjoyed Askansas ICU, more so cause they showed nursing interactions although Docs were the focus.
